Our Story

Founder & Creative Director | Deepti Saxena

Hi, I am Deepti. I trained in statistics, spent eighteen years in marketing, and painted quietly through all of it — for myself, for family, in whatever hours I could find. Twelve years of practice went into learning what I wanted to say on a canvas before I ever sold a piece. In 2023, I chose the canvas over the boardroom, and Voodaz became the place where that choice lives.

My subjects come from paying attention: the curve of a leaf, the elegance of a bird in flight, the restless energy of a city street. I work across charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, and oil — each medium asks something different of a piece, and I choose deliberately, never by default.

Today, I lead Voodaz as its creative director — setting the studio's direction, working closely with every artist in our small collective, and personally painting many of our pieces, including all custom commissions.

Away from the studio, I'm a mother and a gardener — and I think both show up in the work, in patience, and in the willingness to let things grow slowly.

Materials We Work In

Linen Canvas — Our surface of choice for its texture and longevity, built to hold paint and color for generations.

Oil & Acrylic — Layered for depth, texture, and the tactile, sculptural quality that defines much of our work.

Charcoal & Watercolor — Used for looser, more immediate studies — where restraint and negative space do the work.

Every original ships with a signed Certificate of Authenticity, documenting the piece's title, medium, artist, and completion date.
